Nike Dynasty Hi “Ele’Mint” Customs

Whether these are officially sanctioned by the mouse himself is unknown, but the always risque Jeremy Scott has had his way again with a pair of adidas. We have some some of his prior work here, and here, but the new Mickey Hi probably takes the cake.

Jeremy Scott loves to reach outside the box with his shoe designs, and the adidas Originals JS Mickey Hi is another great example. The high top sneakers sport a red/yellow/white colorway reminiscent of the Houston Rockets. The leather upper is mostly yellow and red, with the white coming in to accent the lace stays, the 3-Stripe, and the outsole. However, all that plays second to the tongue of the shoe which sports the head of none other than Mickey Mouse. The over-sized image of Mickey fits perfectly with the shoe’s colorway by way of the red tongue. Definitely unique and original, this just may make it over to US shores. For now, you will have to grab a pair through Kasina.

S!MMONS GIRLS..

It must be nice to be part of the Simmons family. Well wait I take that back. If I was a Simmons, I couldn’t think the thoughts I do about these two girls. But that is another post all together. The ladies had a chance to sit down with Boss Lady for drjays.com and talk about their new Pastry “Box of Chocolates” collection. Take a listen and enjoy the view…..of the new sneakers.

Drake - Over by JCChase

drake over Drake Over

After months of heavy anticipation Drake is finally ready to release the first official single from his forthcoming debut album “Thank Me Later”. Entitled “Over” the Boi-1da produced cut is not your average radio joint that people expected to lead one of the highest anticipated rap-albums in recent years. Drake gives a recap on the bumpy road he took during the past twelve months as his buzz propelled to impressive heights. It definitely serves as an adequate appetizer for Drizzy’s upcoming debut that is slated to drop in May. Enjoy.

Rising rapper Nicki Minaj covers the Spring Issue of The Fader (on newstands now). Check out a snippet below:

Nicki Minaj on Her Status In The Game and Being A Personality:
“I don’t know where I fit in the spectrum of rap yet, I think now I’m kind of proving myself, but before, people thought of I was more of a sex symbol or wannabe sex symbol. Now they’re seeing. That’s why I make the goofiest faces, I don’t want people to think I’m up here trying to be cute. I’m trying to entertain, and entertaining is more than exuding sex appeal. I don’t think that’s fun. I don’t find it fun watching someone trying to be sexy. It’s wack. I’m trying to just show my true personality, and I think that means more than anything else.

You can also get the free downloadable digital version of the issue is now available at TheFader.com.
