QustomQueen decided to have some fun with the King of Pop with her entry to the 2009 Clash of the Customizers. Her Moon Walker Supra Skytops draw on Michael Jackson’s famed dance as well as what QustomQueen refers to as Jackson’s “lightened” skin for inspiration. The main attractions on the Moon Walker Supra Skytops are the color-changing rainbows. QustomQueen used heat-sensitive materials to recreate the colors of the rainbow on the middle panels and tongue. The rainbow comes to life when the temperature rises, in particular when someone wears the shoes for a long time. As the temperature decreases, the yellows, reds and blues begin to fade into oblivion.

QustomQueen did not ignore the rest of these Supra Skytops after adding the rainbow colors. Her Michael Jackson lace covers can be added or subtracted based on the wearer’s preference. The stars and nebulae surrounding the rainbow colors add nice touches to the Moon Walker Supra Skytops. Following in the established and succesful path of its predecessor the Hyperdunk, the Nike Hypermax will be the third sneaker (Hyperdunk and Air Zoom Tre) to feature in a colorway based off of the iconic Nike footwear worn by Marty McFly in the Back to the Future movie franchsie. The shoe will feature a “grey base, speckled midsole, light blue highlights and pink accents.” As the name denotes, Flywire has been removed from the upper in exchange for a stain upper. Glow in the dark elements are also incorporated into the shoe’s outsole. Stay tuned for more details.

Luxury eyewear brand Dita has launched a brand new frame for the summer. The Challenger frame comes in as a contemporary style with slight hints to classics such as the aviator. As many of you have heard through Bape’s email newsletter sent out yesterday, the Japanese streetwear giant has finally brought its massive overseas following to the states, with the official opening of their online store.
